How Advance Tax Works

Tax Liability Calculation

The calculator first determines your total tax liability for the financial year based on your income, applicable deductions, and the tax regime you've selected.

Quarterly Breakdown

The annual tax amount is split into four quarterly installments with specific percentages (15%, 45%, 75%, and 100% cumulative) to be paid by their respective due dates.

Penalty Calculation

If you've missed a due date or made partial payments, the calculator estimates the interest penalties under Section 234C at 1% per month on the shortfall amount.
